Coming to TR: Saturday Market at The Huss Project

With many folks in St. Joseph County opting to have their groceries delivered by services like Shipt or stocking up once a month themselves to avoid large crowds at area box stores, obtaining fresh local produce can be difficult.

But starting on Saturday, June 6 at 1008 8th Street in Three Rivers, The Huss Project will offer a selection of fresh, local foods as part of its Saturday Market. Each Saturday from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. volunteers will be accepting cash, credit card, and SNAP in exchange for locally sourced food.

The Saturday Market will follow safety protocols recommended by the Michigan Farmers Market Association to ensure the safety of its patrons and volunteers, and will eventually offer curbside pickup and local delivery.

“Please minimize the number of people from your household in attendance at the market and plan to maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and others at all times,” Kirstin Vander Giessen-Reitsma wrote in Friday’s announcement. “Volunteers will be on hand to make sure everyone knows what to do as we work to keep each other safe. Watch for more details soon about curbside pickup and local delivery!”
