St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite announced the donation of a storage shed to St. Joseph County Animal Control Wednesday.

“This shed will be used to store food and supplies that are necessary for daily operations. It will also store the overflow of additional transport kennels for neglect and hoarding cases. We are excited to have this extra space which is desperately needed,” Lillywhite said.

According to Lillywhite, the St. Joseph County Animal Control Advisory Board donated the 10 foot by 20 foot shed, which it purchased through its fundraising efforts. Lillywhite said he wished to “thank the Animal Control Advisory Board and all of the donors who made this possible.”
