Arrests Made in Three Rivers Home Invasion

Officers with the Three Rivers Police Department (TRPD) arrested three suspects in a home invasion Sunday after responding to a call and tracing them from the scene to a nearby house.

Officers arrived within moments at a home on South Constantine Street after dispatch received a call reporting a crime in progress. Multiple victims inside reported they had been threatened with weapons including a gun, bat, and large knife. The victims, who live at the home, told officers the suspects broke in and confronted them there. The residents lured the suspects outside before securing the house, after which the suspects fled. The residents told officers they did not know the suspects.

TRPD K-9 Django tracked the suspects to another house nearby, where officers located a man hiding inside a van along with evidence of the crime. Believing additional suspects to be in the house, officers executed a search warrant. They found two more suspects inside, along with additional evidence. Officers arrested all three suspects and lodged them in jail without bond on charges of Felonious Assault with a Gun and Home Invasion in the First Degree.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police assisted TRPD at the scene.
