Public hearing scheduled for the adoption of St. Joseph County’s budget for FY 2021-22

During its executive committee meeting, the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners scheduled a public hearing to discuss and adopt the county’s budget for FY 2021-22.

The public hearing will take place during the commission’s next meeting on Tuesday, December 1, which will be conducted remotely via Zoom beginning at 5 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged to dial in or log in to the meeting.

Commissioners are also expected to make decisions on a Community Corrections Grant Agreement, Capital Improvement Program Policy Revision, MERS Pension Addendums and a Medical Examiner Services Agreement.

Outgoing County Treasurer Judi Ratering will be honored, and the commission will make appointments to the Animal Control Advisory Board, Board of Public Works, Building Authority Board, Central Dispatch Policy Board, Department of Health and Human Services, Planning Commission and Workforce Development Board.
