TRDDA to host ‘Art on Main’ event Saturday in downtown Three Rivers

The Three Rivers Downtown Development Authority (TRDDA) is hosting an all-new event in downtown Three Rivers on Saturday, July 10 from 12 to 7 p.m. called Art on Main. The event will feature artwork, both on display and for purchase, from numerous local artists. The event will also showcase other types of artists with live music, an open mic, and more set to take place.

The TRDDA has been very proactive in bringing fresh artwork into downtown Three Rivers, and engaging with the local art community, including the Three Rivers Artists Guild. The organization hopes to continue to host this event for years to come, while always trying to find new ways to bring more art downtown.

Most businesses will be open, though Main Street will be closed to traffic from Portage Avenue to Michigan Avenue. This will provide a great opportunity to enjoy the newly designated social district, the “Main Street Commons.” Have a drink from participating bars and restaurants as you stroll Main Street and take in the art and music!

The TRDDA will also be celebrating the official completion of “East Alley,” a previously bleak walkthrough that was recently transformed into a vibrant space with art, seating, stages and market lights. This was done through a crowdfunding campaign matched by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The East Alley is also part of the Main Street Commons social district!

Please join the TRDDA Saturday for an outdoor soiree you won’t want to miss, and witness downtown Three Rivers alive with art.
