PHOTOS: #MomLife: Summer Loving

Hey guys, I know, I’ve been away for a few weeks. I’ve been taking a break to soak up the last few days of summer. With school starting, and I know people say this all of the time, but I feel like summer flew by. I mean, where did it go? On one hand, it’s like we didn’t accomplish much but then I recognize the bigger picture, and realize we had a lot of mini adventures full of relaxation and fun.

They say you only get 18 summers to make memories with your children before they are ready to pave their own way in the world. I’d like to think I have a lifetime because my children are never going to leave me but I know that’s not reality. I know sooner or later they will be adults, and Leif and I will be empty-nesters and our lives will be vastly different. So this year I decided we would unplug more, and make more memories as a family. The kids struggled a little bit in the beginning but by the end of summer they were embracing it more and learning how to be kids again.

We had a full summer of camping, swimming, relaxing, watching sunsets, roasting marshmallows, and sightseeing. Instead of rambling on and talking about all of the fun things my kids and I did this summer and potentially boring you, I thought a summer photo album would be more fun. I hope you enjoy it!

How did your summer go? What were some of your favorite memories? I’d love to see some of your photos as well.
