Three Rivers Police investigating ‘suspicious death’

A woman was found unresponsive in a Three Rivers roadway early Saturday morning, and was later pronounced dead after life saving measures proved unsuccessful.

At approximately 6:12 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, members of the Three Rivers Police Department and Three Rivers Fire Department were dispatched to a report of an individual laying in the roadway at Liberty and 4th St. Paramedics were unable to revive the woman, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Three Rivers Police are conducting an investigation into the incident, and are treating it as a suspicious death. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, November 22, and the name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police are assisting Three Rivers in the investigation.
