TRAM Afterschool Program expanding to The Huss Project Farm

Deborah Haak-Frost and Kirstin Vander Giessen-Reitsma plant potatoes at the Huss Project Farm in May 2015.

Starting Thursday, April 14, the Three Rivers Area Mentoring After School Program (TRAM) will be on-site at The Huss Project Farm one afternoon a week enjoying the farm’s new children’s area and learning about farming and the ways the Huss Project works for the good of the community.

Utilizing the Peacejam curriculum, elementary school students will create their own service-learning project at Huss to make their community a better place for everyone. Stay tuned to find out which project the students choose to embark upon, and to hear details of a one-week day camp TRAM will host at The Huss Project in June.

To sign up elementary school students for the TRAM after-school program or to volunteer as a mentor, please contact Todd Bannon at [email protected].
