Shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, Three Rivers Community Schools announced Friday will be the second consecutive day of district-wide school closures. As with the first instance, it is because of a recent social media post.
The district released the following statement:
“Due to a recent social media post, Three Rivers Community Schools will be closed Friday, September 13, including all home after school activities.
Apologies for the late notice, however, it is important all details are investigated prior to canceling school.
TRCS takes this information seriously and the safety of our school community is important. Additional information related to these threats and the very serious consequences for making threats against a school or other public institution will be shared with the school community tomorrow.”
