The St. Joseph County Housing Task Force will host its annual, free Project Connect event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, October 11. A wealth of resources for residents looking for help with housing and other social needs will be available at the Henningsen Show Arena, Centreville Fairgrounds.
More than 50 agencies and organizations will participate in Project Connect and a Veterans Stand Down, representing services such as housing repairs, meals on wheels, food supports, disability needs, in-home care, social groups, activities, and more.
Project Connect will also offer free medical screens, flu shots and other immunizations, fresh food boxes, hygiene items, on-site clothing, footwear and towels, free haircuts and a free lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

For nearly 20 years, Project Connect has offered resources for seniors, veterans, low-income families, and the unhoused in St. Joseph County. These services include health screenings, flu shots, immunizations, haircuts, fresh food, and commodities boxes. In addition, legal aide, education, employment, recovery, and more are also available.
