The Three Rivers Lions Club has named Lion John W. Bippus as the 2022 Bruce C. Snook Citizen of the Year. Since 1965, the Lions Club has recognized persons who, through a commitment to service, have given unselfishly of themselves for the betterment of the community.
The Three Rivers Lions Club has established a new scholarship in memory of Lion Dave Miller’s wife Denise, who passed away in late February.
In the first public event to raise funds for the Three Rivers Promise, Dan’s Famous Fish Fry will be held on Friday, August 13 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Three Rivers Lions Club located at 420 6th Ave.
Each year, the Three Rivers Lions Club (TRLC) hosts an ox roast at the Water Festival, but this year, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented it. Still wanting to stage the popular feature, organizers decided to innovate.
The Three Rivers Lions Club’s ever-popular Ox Roast which normally takes place during the annual Three Rivers Water Festival in June, will instead occur in the form of a drive-through event in September at the Lions Club facility on Sixth Street.
