Deputies investigate Burr Oak theft

Last Friday, August 28, deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the location of a larceny in the 62000 block of Burr Oak Road in Burr Oak Township. Several items were stolen from the outbuildings at the location the previous night, including a Simcoe horse saddle and several tools.

In a press release, Sheriff Mark A. Lillywhite said, “deputies would like to remind citizens to keep their barns and outbuildings secure.” Anyone with information on the thefts should contact the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office at 269-467-9045.
