This episode is a follow-up from Episode 11, Unconditioning Racist language. A+scribe and Pastor Hill explore what racist language looks like in the church context as Black Christians navigating three intersecting worlds: blackness, whiteness and the religious spaces that host each (exclusively and/or collectively).
Pastor Colby Hill is a millennial, multiethnic, multiplying leader. After being raised in the AME Church and pastoring at Heartland Church for several years, Pastor Colby felt the call to relocate his family in 2019 to the DC Metro area where he now leads the Encounter Church. He currently resides in Waldorf, MD with his wife LaToya and their 3 kids.
