St. Joseph County Democrats hosting ‘Party in the Park’ Sunday

Organizers are expecting three Democratic candidates for state office at the event, including Bart Goldberg (new 5th Congressional District), Scott Starr (State Senate District 17), and Naomi Ludman (new State House District 36). All of the aforementioned districts include St. Joseph County.

The Democratic Party of St. Joseph County is hosting a “Party in the Park” Sunday at Meyer-Broadway Park in Three Rivers.

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. under the park pavilion, where guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic lunch, while drinks and desserts will be provided. Organizers are expecting three Democratic candidates for state office at the event, including Bart Goldberg (new 5th Congressional District), Scott Starr (State Senate District 17), and Naomi Ludman (new State House District 37). All of the aforementioned districts include St. Joseph County.

Christine Morse, who currently serves in the State House for District 61, will also be a guest speaker. There will be representatives from the League of Women Voters, Voters Not Politicians, the Rural Caucus, and a pair of Three Rivers City Commissioners. Music entertainment will be provided by blues singer Mick Kolassa, and there will be several ballot initiatives available for signatures of registered voters.
