If you live in Three Rivers’ District 2, you could be eligible for a roof replacement grant

Residents must apply by Thursday, October 14

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) recently awarded the City of Three Rivers a grant totaling $50,000 to provide assistance in development projects set to enhance homeowner occupied homes in District 2 through its Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP).

The NEP helps communities throughout Michigan by providing funding assistance to complete high-impact development projects directly tied to stabilizing and improving the local area.

The City of Three Rivers still has grant funds for approximately two roof replacements. The maximum grant available per homeowner is $7,499, and the homeowner will be responsible for any cost exceeding the grant fund. District 2 residents must apply by Thursday, and the projects are anticipated to be completed by December 15, 2022.

NEP grants require that the projects and activities align with one or more of three core components including: housing enhancements; neighborhood beautification; and/or neighborhood public amenity enhancements.
