Riviera Theatre in the holiday ‘spirit’ with tasting event

Watershed Voice reached out to Danielle Moreland, executive director and general manager of the Riviera Theatre & Bar in downtown Three Rivers, to hear about a tasting event they’re hosting on Saturday, December 3 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will take place in partnership with Iron Fish, a “field-to-glass craft distillery” in northern Michigan named for the steelhead trout that swim in the region’s rivers.

What can people expect for this event, and what does a ticket include?

Tickets include appetizers, a tasting of six of Iron Fish’s spirits, two cocktail drink tickets, a tasting glass, and giveaways! The event will be pretty casual, with Katie from Iron Fish telling everyone a bit about who they are and what to expect from each spirit. Guests will then be able to mingle and sample at their own pace. The bar will be closed to the public from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Tell us about Iron Fish Distillery. How did you get connected with them?

We discovered Iron Fish a few years ago when they opened up north of Manistee and have been big fans ever since. We carry a number of their products in the bar. We reached out when we wanted to come up with a holiday affair that really was about spending time with friends and thought a tasting would be festive.

How much are tickets, and how can people buy them?

Tickets are $45 and can be picked up from the box office after 4pm, online through PurplePass, or at the door.
