More than 25 varieties of trees and shrubs will be available in May. Seedlings can also be purchased in advance through the district’s website. Pre-orders must be placed by April 25.
In an interview with Watershed Voice, Newton discussed his responsibilities, plans to improve student success, efforts to strengthen the college’s presence in the community, and his adjustment to rural living.

In celebration of Baldwin’s achievements, the college is hosting a solo exhibition, reINspired: The Artwork of Sally Baldwin, from March 17-27 at the Flora Kirsch Beck Gallery.
More than 15 healthcare employers will be present, hiring for a variety of positions, while eight colleges and universities will provide information on educational opportunities in the field.
The event will bring together experts from business, education, and healthcare to discuss key workforce trends and opportunities
The awards — Distinguished Alumni Award, Fellows Award, Part-Time Teaching Award, and the E.J. Shaheen Chair for Teaching Excellence Award — recognize outstanding contributions in education, community service, and support of the college.
"Dr. Cloutier's commitment to fostering high-quality programs and ensuring students achieve their goals embodies the mission of our institution," GOCC President Dr. Bryan Newton said.
The "No Wrong Door" program allows for informed decisions about healthcare, Commissioner Rick Shaffer said. Shaffer also showed a present for colleague Dennis Allen.
