Kalamazoo voters will head to the polls this November to elect a mayor, vice mayor, and three city commissioners. Here's a quick guide to what's on the ballot and how to vote.
Commissioners voted 6-3 for Perez and 6-3 for Bir. In both cases, the alternative votes were made by Commissioners Aaron Miller, Roger Moyer, and Jeff Mullins.

Urban, a Democrat challenger, faces Green challenger James Bronke and Republican incumbent Tim Walberg.
Jourdan, a challenger, faces fellow incumbents Jerry Gray and MaRinda Stamp. The three candidates are running for two board positions.
Vellenga-Fenner faces incumbents John Gentry and Jeffery Miller and fellow challengers Shireen Cline and Jennifer Wortinger. The five candidates are running for three trustee postions.
"Benton Harbor just replaced all of their pipes," Erin Schultes said. "There’s absolutely no reason we can’t do the same. And not in 10 years, but now. Because now it’s affecting people. Now it’s poisoning our children."
