During the organizational meeting, the newly sworn-in Three Rivers City Commission will elect a mayor pro tem, who serves in the mayor’s absence. The commission will also review parliamentary procedure, approve commission and administrative guidelines, set the 2026 meeting schedule, and approve the 2026 holiday schedule for full-time, non-union staff.
The Three Rivers City Commission will meet Tuesday, August 5 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 333 W. Michigan Ave. The commission plans to discuss a range of topics from environmental safeguards to new recreation facilities.
Lucas Allen will be the next at-large Three Rivers city commissioner after receiving 73 percent of the ballots cast, collecting 1,128 votes against the 401 write-in votes tallied against him, defeating write-in candidate Danielle Moreland in Tuesday's general election.
