TRCP has been part of the Three Rivers arts landscape since 1973, often blending entertainment and education into its programing. The theater’s junior summer productions have introduced generations of young actors to the stage – including this show’s director who said those experiences were foundational to his creative life.
Directed by Stacey Jaeger, a production stage manager at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, the show is based on the 1989 film of the same name.
The Three Rivers production opened over the weekend and has another slate of performances this coming weekend, February 14-16.
There are 10 p.m. performances tonight, Friday, November 1, and tomorrow, Saturday, November 2, along with a 4 p.m. performance Sunday. All are at the Riviera Theatre.

The show will run for two weekends on August 4-6, and August 11-13.
Tonight the Three Rivers Community Players (TRCP) will debut “9 PM, Saturday Night,” an original show written and directed by Eathan Bingaman. The show will run for two weekends, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays beginning at 7:30 p.m., and matinees on Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15, and $13 for students and seniors.
