After a hiatus in 2020, the Three Rivers Area Faith Community (TRAFC) is once again hosting the Back to School Celebration, an event at which school age children accompanied by an adult caregiver receive a free backpack filled with school supplies.

COVID-19 certainly wasn’t going to stop the Three Rivers Area Faith Community from celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., but the annual event will look dramatically different this year.
At Tuesday’s regular Three Rivers City Commission meeting, Paul Lippens of the Northville consulting firm McKenna said changes have been incorporated into the document following a 63-day public comment period that began in early June. There are only a few steps remaining before the document becomes official.
