Watershed Voice reached out to a collection of parents and Three Rivers Superintendent Ron Moag for their thoughts and reactions to how the first week of school went amid the unique, new challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the options put in place by Three Rivers Community Schools administrators to meet those challenges.

Three Rivers Community Schools reopened to instruction for the academic year under its “Return to Learn” COVID-19 response plan Tuesday. Board of Education members heard updates on the reopening, pandemic planning documents, and bond-issue construction work at a Tuesday evening work session.
A series of rumors circulating around social media came to Watershed Voice’s attention over the weekend. Most of said rumors have to do with when and how Three Rivers Community Schools (TRCS) will use teachers or other, third-party service providers to deliver virtual, online instruction programs for students. In the interest of confirming what decisions are actually under discussion at TRCS, Watershed Voice reached out to School Board President Erin Nowak and TRCS Superintendent Ron Moag for clarification.
Three Rivers Community Schools voted Monday to hire Cheryl Thomas as the new director for the Three Rivers Middle School and High School bands. Watershed Voice reached out to Thomas to learn more about the background and skills she will bring to Three Rivers.
