Class reunions are back & TRHS’ Class of 1964 is having a 75th Birthday party

Group hopes to donate at least $600 to Three Rivers Promise

By Helen McCauslin, Vice President, Three Rivers Promise

As a part of this summer’s reunions, the Three Rivers High School Class of 1964 is having a birthday party on July 31 as they celebrate their respective 75th birthdays this year.

And as part of the celebration, the Three Rivers Promise has received commitments from four members of the class who will each give $75 (Happy 75th Birthday!) to the Three Rivers Promise if others in the Class of 1964 make contributions that together total the challenge amount.

That’s $300 from four donors if the total of other donations from the class reaches $300. This puts a minimum donation of $600 from the Class of 1964 into the Three Rivers Promise.

The Three Rivers Promise is a college scholarship program for Three Rivers High School graduates that enables their successful completion of a college or vocational degree. Three Rivers Promise was organized in 2019 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. A nine-member board directs its activities.

The Class of ’64 is challenged to match the dollars and help change the opportunities for post-secondary education for future graduates of TRHS.  Go to the Three Rivers Promise website donation page, www.threeriverspromise.com, to donate online.  Click the “In honor of” button and enter “Class of 1964.”  Checks are also welcome, made out to “Three Rivers Promise,” and mailed to Jan Michaels c/o “Class of ’64 TRP challenge,” TRP, P.O. Box 405, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
