Status conference, trial date set in Three Rivers attempted murder case

A status conference and trial date have been set in the attempted murder case against Lee Andrew Parker, Jr.

On April 9, 2020, shortly after midnight, Three Rivers Police Department (TRPD) officers were dispatched to a location in the River Trail Apartments in the 500 block of Thomas Street in Three Rivers. A 17-year-old victim had been shot in the head. Parker allegedly fled but was arrested and arraigned later that day with a $1,000,000 cash/surety bond.

In response to inquiries about the case’s status, Watershed Voice contacted the 45th Circuit Court for information. Staff there said the case was bound over to Circuit Court on May 19 after a preliminary hearing before Judge Robert Pattison in the 3B District Court. A status conference is set for September 28, and a jury trial is scheduled for October 20. Both will be presided over by Judge Paul Stutesman.

According to Circuit Court staff, Parker faces charges of assault with intent to murder, code 750.83, and weapons, felony firearm, code 750.227B-A. He is represented by attorney Timothy George. The prosecutor’s office has not assigned an attorney to the case, but staff there said Acting Prosecutor Joshua Robare has been handling Circuit Court cases.
