Centreville woman suffers life threatening injuries in pick-up vs. semi-truck crash

A 65-year-old Centreville woman was transported to Bronson Hospital early Tuesday morning with life threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash on M-86.

At approximately 3:39 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene of a crash at M-86 near Rambadt Road in Nottawa Township. The initial investigation into the crash revealed the 65-year-old was traveling west on M-86 when her pick-up truck crossed the centerline, as a 35-year-old Constantine man was traveling east in a semi-truck and tanker trailer, resulting in a crash. 

The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries, while the status of the Centreville woman is unknown at this time. The crash remains under investigation. The Centreville Fire Department, Michigan State Police, LifeCare Ambulance, and Bowers Towing assisted deputies at the scene.
