Cass County residents urged to dispose of unused meds on National Drug Take Back Day

Do you have old medication lying around your house? National Drug Take Back Day is on April 27, and many pharmacies and local stores are open to dispose of unused medications.

Cass County residents can drop off unneeded medications at multiple locations during the four-hour event, which provides an opportunity to remove unneeded medications from your home to prevent medication misuse, and opioid addiction from ever starting.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, disposal boxes will be available at the following locations in Cass County:

  • Howard Township Hall, 1345 Barron Lake Road, Niles
  • Marcellus Township Hall, 13163 Marcellus Highway, Marcellus
