Sturgis foundation accepting applications for community impact grants

Deadline to apply is April 1

The Sturgis Area Community Foundation is now accepting applications for grants to local organizations working in housing, educational progression, workforce development, care of children, community development, and placemaking in St. Joseph County.

The deadline to submit a Community Impact Grant application is April 1.

Basic eligibility requirements include that the applicant is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization , government entity, school district, or university. Religious organizations are also eligible to apply for grants, but sectarian religious programs are not eligible.

Grants will not be made to individuals or to cover deficits or other previously incurred obligations. Organizations must also have submitted all final reports due to the foundation for previous grants they have received.

The Sturgis Area Community Foundation is committed to making a positive impact on the quality of life in the communities it serves. The grant program supports a broad range of programs and projects that make a difference in the lives of residents in St. Joseph County.
