Sturgis Civic Players present 12 Incompetent Jurors

Later this month the Sturgis Civic Players will be bringing 12 Incompetent Jurors to the ballroom of the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts. This new production is a parody of 12 Angry Men, and will be performed at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.

The show will take place in a courtroom setting where a jury is deliberating over a case involving a man accused of abducting cats. While it is clear that the defendant is guilty, there is one juror who is seeing things a bit differently.

“Folks love comedies,” Director Ryan Davis said, “and we have an amazing cast of 16 local actors who put a unique spin on his or her character as they take on the different roles of the cast from the 1957 film.”

Tickets are $15 for both children and adults, and can be purchased here. Guests will be able to purchase snacks and special evening cocktails during the show.

The show is presented through a special arrangement with Playscripts. The Sturgis Civic Players recommend the show for students who are high school age and above.
