The City of Kalamazoo announced Wednesday that gates, restrooms, and water fountains at city parks are now open for the summer season.

Restrooms and water fountains are winterized each year, and open once freezing temperatures pass and seasonal staff is available for cleaning and maintenance. All Kalamazoo parks are open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset, though some parking areas and vehicle drives are closed during the winter months due to reduced staffing.
