Three Rivers Water Festival announces theme, new features for 2024

The theme for the 67th annual Three Rivers Water Festival has been announced, and it should make for quite the opening ceremony. The festival will take place this summer from noon Thursday, June 13, through Saturday evening, June 15.

This year’s theme is “TR Goes for the Gold,” to coincide with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. The Water Festival Committee selected this theme because they believed it would be familiar to most people and allow participants in the parade to come up with creative entries. The hope is that the community will enjoy the theme and come out to celebrate the festival.

Returning features for this year’s event include the annual kick-off parade, Kids Zone, the Car Show, a 5K/1 mile fun run, the Arts and Crafts Show, food vendors, a concert followed by a fireworks display, and more. Two new features have been added this year: a “Silent Disco,” sponsored by Riverside Church, and the addition of judging of parade participants.

More details about this annual event will become available as the festival approaches. For updates, visit the Three Rivers Water Festival Facebook page or visit www.trchamber.com.
