The Urban Alliance Change of Status program in Kalamazoo offers men with a history of incarceration or behavioral issues a chance to make a positive change in their lives.

The 12-week program is designed to help men break destructive tendencies and focus on equipping their lives for the future through lessons on planning, fatherhood, finances, business, and constructive recreation.

The program also focuses on helping men overcome a criminal mindset, forgiving others as well as themselves, and navigating emotions. Participants gain tools to handle the next step on their journey to fulfilling their potential and making a positive impact on their communities and beyond. Upon completion of the program, participants are celebrated by their families, peers, and community leaders for their growth. They may also qualify to receive $1,200 for meeting program commitments.
