Schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions

The City of Sturgis announced it will begin hydrant flushing next week beginning on Monday, April 15.

Monday will include hydrants on Fawn River Road and south of Fawn River Road. On Tuesday, April 16, the area south of East Chicago Road and East of South Ottawa Street will be flushed. On Wednesday, April 17, flushing will be conducted in the area south of West Chicago Road and West of South Ottawa Street. On Thursday, April 18, the area north of West Chicago Road and West of North Ottawa Street to North Centreville Road will get its turn. The final flush on Friday, April 19 will occur in the area north of East Chicago Road and East of North Nottawa Street.

If residents should see any discoloration of the water coming from their faucets, they are urged to let water flow from for several minutes after the flush to ensure the water is clear. If water discoloration persists, contact the Sturgis Department of Public Services at 269-659-7297.
