St. Joseph County seeks public input for road safety improvements

St. Joseph County is seeking community input on how to “develop a safer, more accessible, and equitable transportation system for all users and modes of travel.”

The St. Joseph County Road Commission received a Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) action plan grant in Fiscal Year ’22 from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). As part of the initiative, the county is creating a Comprehensive Transportation Safety Action Plan (CTSAP) as part of a federal grant program that allocates $5 billion for road safety improvements across the nation over five years.

Residents are being asked to complete a survey by June 21 which will help inform the development of the plan as the county works with other partners to improve transportation safety for all road users and modes of travel.

Those interested in completing the St. Joseph County Transportation Safety Action Plan & Survey can do so here.
